Stacey of SSM Photography did a fabulous job as my wedding photographer on 9/4/2016. She has an eye for capturing great shots and was energetic throughout the entire day. We simply cannot overstate what an incredible job Stacey and SSM Photography did shooting our wedding in August 2017! She and her team were professional, incredibly detail oriented, friendly, and very fun to work with and the pictures she took are absolutely gorgeous. Stacey is phenomenal to work with, something that starts the moment you get in contact with her. From out very first phone call, Stacey's commitment to her craft was evident. We spent nearly an hour on the phone talking about her approach to photography, her experiences shooting events, and whether that matched what we were looking for. It really felt like fit was as important to her as it was to us and she listened carefully to what we wanted from the day. What an incredible talent! Stacey was our photographer for our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with the results! The formal shots went smooth (thanks to Her and Justus) and look amazing, but I feel where you can really see her skill is when you let her just go for it. Other than the formal shots, we didn’t give her any direction except “do your thing”. That “thing” is an uncanny ability to see what most of us ignore, from the beautiful small moments to the larger take it all in environments. Stacey has been my family photographer for 3 years now. She has captured moments in my life from my boudoir photos, to my baby's 1st birthday party, to our yearly family photos ever since then. I wish she would have photographed my wedding, but had unfortunately already hired someone prior to meeting Stacey. We are even considering scheduling new wedding photos with her because we are so disappointed she didn't shoot our actual wedding. My husband and I are both generally awkward in front of the camera and need a lot of direction. Stacey immediately puts us at ease and gives us tips to get the best photos. We hired SSM Photography for our wedding and I could not be more amazed on the entire process and final product. Stacey is the definition of top tier photography. Her ability to capture that exact moment while making you feel extremely comfortable at the same time was vital in making our special day that much better.
We coordinated multiple vendors for our wedding and none of them could compete with Stacey's level of performance. She was always the first to respond to all communications and never left any doubts. We gave Stacey minimal feedback throughout the planning stage and she was able to design and execute a plan that went flawlessly. As a result, we was able to fully trust in Stacey's plan and all the decisions she was making. This alleviated a lot of stress during the day as we did not once ever have to worry about the management or execution of the photos. We also had a large list of must have photos due to 250 guests being in attendance. Stacey was able to efficiently coordinate all the guests to ensure we were able to get photos with all 250 guests. After the wedding was over Stacey constantly kept us updated in the progress of the photos and had an unbelievable short turnover time for digital copies.

I saw Stacey shooting at Forest and Main a few years ago. She had a unique style and I immediately noticed her dedication and talent. The day my fiancé and I decided we needed a real deal photographer, I said "Stacey!!" Luckily, she was not booked and we were locked in!! From beginning to end, I knew we made the right decision. Stacey and Justus shot my wedding last Friday September 29th 2017 and they did an outstanding job! I can't believe how beautiful the pictures turned out! They managed to take a perfect day with perfect weather and make it look even more beautiful in the photos. They were also very organized and patient. I have pretty large family so when it came to getting the group family pictures taken it could have gotten very hectic, but we were able to breeze through them (even with the six young children in the bridal party). Their ideas for lighting, backgrounds, and poses definitely show how experienced and talented they are and made the pictures turn out perfect.
